We are looking for a creative and motivated Social Media Intern to assist in enhancing our online presence and supporting our marketing efforts.

Position Overview: As a Social Media Intern at Jacko’s Corner, you will assist with managing our social media accounts, creating engaging content, and supporting email marketing campaigns. You will also help with event photography and videography to capture the essence of our events and dining experiences. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media marketing, photography, videography, and website management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing and updating Jacko’s Corner social media accounts (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter).
  • Create and post engaging content, including photos, videos, and written posts.
  • Capture high-quality photos and videos during events and regular restaurant operations.
  • Support email marketing campaigns to promote special events, menu updates, and other restaurant news.
  • Monitor social media analytics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and suggest improvements.
  • Help maintain and update the restaurant’s website using WordPress.
  • Assist with managing the online store using Shopify, including updating product listings and promotions.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and customer engagement.
  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends and best practices to ensure Jacko’s Corner remains competitive in the digital space.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Photography, Videography, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) and tools (Hootsuite, Buffer).
  • Basic photography and videography skills, with a good eye for detail and composition.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp) and campaign management is a plus.
  • Familiarity with WordPress and Shopify is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to generate new ideas and content.
  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed for events and content creation.
